Meet the Author Emmanuelle wrote her first story at age nine; it was called, “Don’t Stick Your Toe up a Water Faucet”. This was followed by a story of a young girl who lived on a ranch and found some abandoned baby rabbits while out riding. That title escapes her. Emmanuelle grew up in Chicago-and rode horses in the woods outside Chicago when there where woods outside Chicago. She has lived in Los Angeles, Kihei, Hawaii, Anchorage, Baton Rouge, and now Pittsburgh. She has loved each place for different reasons though she says you can’t beat the food in Hawaii or South Louisiana. She has worked in advertising, TV, real estate, hospice and in a juice stand (shout out to Lahaina). Her favorite occupation is writer. Getting lost in the story and characters is unlike anything else and, having been divorced for a number of years, she says the sex in her stories is the best she’s had in ages.
She has a ring neck parrot named Sona (which is Hindi for gold) who was given her by a good friend. Currently, Sona and Emmanuelle share the house with her son as well as Sam and Max, a pair of rescue rabbits.
She has a positive outlook and finds great joy in life and hope this shines through the characters in her stories.
